Your Private Network

Each unit has a private network, which requires a WPA2 encryption key. Each of your devices will prompt you to enter a key or 'password' the first time you connect. On your private network, you can:

• Share devices like printers
• Talk between devices like Chromecast or AppleTV
• Share files, such as XBox's Media Server function
• Connect without going through a login page

The business suites at Sky Ranch have private networks, all of which make use of the building's fiber Internet service but they are separate from each other. Your private network will use an encryption key (WiFi 'password') and devices on that network will be able to see each other so you can print, share files, etc.

The Sky Ranch Public Network

If you prefer, you may continue to use the public network (skyranch) anywhere in the building. The sharing features above do not work on the public network and your devices (phone, tablet, laptop, gaming console, etc.) will not be visible to others. However, you will need to go through the login page periodically.

There is a public network as well, so your customers can connect without needing access to your private network. On the public network speeds are limited, devices cannot see each other and each device must acknowledge a 'User Agreement' page, as you would see at a hotel. That makes it unsuitable for printers, file sharing, smartTVs, gaming consoles, etc.

Wireless Access

If you would like to change the name of your private wireless network please let us know that via email to: Support@NetOpsCo.com and include the new wireless network name. The encryption key will also be new and the old one will go away. That email musto come from the email address on your lease.

Wired Ports & Internet

The wired network jacks in your suite can be (and may already be) connected to the same network. We can make changes (a billable service call) or provide information for your IT resource.

If you would prefer to take just a wired connection and a public IP address please have your IT contact reach out to us to arrange that.

Internet service is billed to each tenant based on square footage. The Internet service is part of your lease and includes one public IP address.
