Enter the email address associated with your lease, then select your building and apartment. Your private network key will be sent to that email address.
Your Private Network
Each apartment has a private network, which requires a WPA2 encryption key. Each of your devices will prompt you to enter a key or password the first time you connect.
- Share devices like printers.
- Talk between devices like Chromecast or AppleTV.
- Share files, such as Xbox's Media Server function.
- Connect without going through a login page.
The Farmstead Public Network
If you prefer, you may continue to use the public network (Farmstead) anywhere in the building. The sharing features above do not work on the public network and your devices will not be visible to others. However, you will need to go through the login page periodically.
Your private network is visible in and near your apartment, but not elsewhere. If you connect to both networks from the same device, it may move between them automatically. Some Apple devices have done this persistently; forgetting the public (Farmstead) network can prevent that behavior.
